Specializing in Pregnancy, Childbirth and Postpartum Therapy
Welcome!
You already took the first step, and you’ve likely been thinking about trying therapy for a while now. It took courage for you to reach out, so give yourself a moment to recognize that. I am here to listen and to support you in your journey.
Providing you with a space to be yourself
It can be challenging when your expectations do not match the reality of your unique journey through conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and adjusting to parenthood. I aim to create a safe space where you can be honest and open about your actual experiences without fear of being judged.
You’re not alone
15-20% of birthing people will develop more significant mood or anxiety symptoms during pregnancy and up to one year after giving birth.
10% of dads struggle with postpartum depression, and up to 18% develop a clinically significant anxiety disorder at some point during the pregnancy or the first year postpartum. That number increases to 50% when their partner has a perinatal mood and anxiety disorder.
LGBTQQI+ parents face unique challenges that can put them at greater risk for perinatal mental health complications.

You will get better
Perinatal mental health disorders do not discriminate. This means parents from every culture, age, income level, and race are at risk. Symptoms can develop any time during pregnancy and through the first 12 months after childbirth. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) can also impact adoptive parents. Years of research show that with the right care, you can and will recover.
