  • Trauma and PTSD

I am a trauma-informed therapist with extensive training and experience treating individuals with complex trauma histories. I completed the “How the Body Keeps Score” training by Bessel van der Kolk, MD. I use evidence-based interventions to help survivors gain peace and empowerment.

  • Anxiety and Depression

I work with clients to cope effectively with anxiety and depression. I use CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy) & DBT (Dialectical behavior therapy) to teach real life skills and interventions that improve mood and symptoms.

Your first visit

Before our first meeting, it would be helpful to consider what you hope to get from therapy.  What are your goals during our time together?  How will you know when you get there?

The first meeting will be a bit different from the ones that follow.  We will discuss your personal history and background to create a treatment plan together.  If this is your first time in therapy, we can discuss what the process might look like for you. We will review your intake paperwork explaining confidentiality and other important issues and plan for the next session.

Our rapport will be an important part of how much you benefit from therapy.  It is essential that we are able to be honest and open with each other to help you reach your goals.
